UMBILICAL CORD BLOOD SPECIALISTS
We pride ourselves on being the 1st company to offer Specifically trained Specialist’s to collect your baby’s Umbilical Cord Blood for Stem cells. All our Staff have Extensive Experience in this field and have worked with all Major Cord Blood collection Kits.
If you do not yet have a Cord Blood Collection kit please contact us and we can recommend Cord Blood banks in the UK.
Once you have decided to book our Service we will provide you with a skilled healthcare professional, appropriately trained in taking Umbilical Cord blood, Maternal Blood and A Tissue Sample if required (called a phlebotomist).
We will ask you to confirm the following information at first point of contact:
- Mothers Name, Home Address, Expected Date of Delivery (EDD)
- Where you intend to deliver, Your contact details
- And any known medical issues / complaints
We will then supply you with all contact details for the Assigned Phlebotomist (our contact number is also 24/7 as a back up).
It is imperative that contact is maintained throughout the labour in order to provide a seamless service.
Please ensure the kit with all its contents is available at the birth.
We ask that you contact your Phlebotomist when you first have signs of labour so they can be aware and prepared. You should then contact them again to set off to the hospital / Home when you are around 6 - 7cm dilated or experiencing regular contractions every 5 minutes so they can make their way to the Hospital.
Please remember, it is your responsibility to phone the courier using the number provided with the kit to arrange for the pick up of the sample once handed back to your birth partner.
